Text Credits: Sandra James
Sridevi was a phenomenal actress who has acted in number of blockbuster films. Her charm and grace is quite incomparable and her demise is a definite loss for the film fraternity. So, in honour of the amazing actress, one of her super hit movies is going to be remade and the reports says that Deepika Padukone is to probably play the part of Sridevi in the movie.
This is what a source has told DNA:
“The original Sridevi film was made by a producer from the South and directed by a Bollywood director. However, talks are on to procure the rights and remake it with Deepika. Nobody is willing to comment on the subject because talks have just been mooted and there are a lot of modalities involved. However, it is true that Deepika is in the know,”
Though it’s not yet revealed which movie will be remade, a source has reported that a four decade old movie starring Sridevi in the lead role is the movie that will be remade.
Deepika hasn’t begun working after her last movie, Padmaavat. She is expected to start filming for Vishal Bharadwaj’s film on the mafia queen, Sapna didi. The filming will begin once Irrfan Khan, her co star in the movie, returns from London after his treatment. Meanwhile, the actress is reading scripts and looking for some versatile characters to play. We definitely hope Deepika takes up Sridevi’s movie remake and breathes life into the character.
