Yasmin Mather’s H.Y, the brand conceived out of an innate desire to push forward luxurious yet detailed design expressions, reflects a strong sense of individuality and grandeur.
The brand speaks a contemporary language that draws inspiration, not only from traditional Indian silhouettes but also from indigenous techniques of handiwork, giving each outfit a sense of unbridled charm and exclusivity.
The 8th of September marked the preview toH.Y’s new collection, ‘Ode to Nature’ at Crowne Plaza Kochi, and celebrated the launch of Yasmin’s first flagship store in Calicut.
The venue was tastefully done up to resemble Kochi’s very own version of the Garden of Eden, with the walkway adorned with a wide array of beautiful flowers and plants, and several glass bowls of fish as added adorable embellishments on the sides. Hoardings, stating the brand’s ideals were another feature that were hard to miss.
The ethereal walkway led to the main stage where Yasmin’sopulent garments were on display, in the soft hue of yellow lighting.
“We believe Kochi, as a city, will embrace our creations since it reflects a strong sense of individuality and grandeur,” says Yasmin.
‘Ode to Nature’, as the title suggests, is inspired by the raw and natural beauty surrounding us; how nature intrinsically and intuitively balances itself out and how wonderfully structure is juxtaposed with fluidity.
The range brings together a carefully chosen palette, along with fabrics, silhouettes and surface ornamentation. Crop tops and resham work with beads, sequins and korazardozi embroidery flowers on georgette skirts, pants with all over pearls and resham work with beads, sequins and korazardozi embroidery flowers on georgette coats were some of the visions to behold at the preview.
Bollywood actress and fashion diva DiaMirza was also present at the event, expressing her admiration for Yasmin, her latest collection, and how nature is synonymous with her own personality.
